Crystal Dawn Watkins

Crystal Dawn Watkins, age 47 of Puryear, TN, passed away in the early morning hours of Monday October 12, 2020, at Henry County Medical Center in Paris, TN.

Crystal was a Puryear Hornet and was a 1991 graduate of Henry County High School.  She was a member of Hazel Baptist Church in Hazel, KY.  She was a survivor of Toto Midonya Bakugf Tsumy, a rare brain and sinus cancer. She loved her kids, her grandson, her family and friends, and her cats. She left this world too soon and will be greatly missed by all her loved ones.

She is survived by three children; Kayla Dawn Watkins of Symsonia, KY, Thomas “Duncan” Bennett of the Crossland, KY community, and Harlee Rae Merrell of Puryear, TN; one grandson, Grayson Elihue Duncan of Symsonia, KY; one sister, Jean (David) Tushie of St. Paul, MN; one brother, James “Alan” (Shannon) Carter of Puryear, TN; one aunt, Debbie Rogers of Puryear, TN; a long time boyfriend, Keith Cunningham of Hazel, KY; honorary parents, Jackie Cunningham and Diane Guthrie Bancroft both of Orlando, FL; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Wendel Gene Watkins and Linda Kay (Watkins) Webb; maternal grandparents, Carl “Rex” Robinson and Betty Jean (Mason) Robinson; and paternal grandparents, Willard Watkins and Edna Watkins.

Her family will be holding a Celebration of Life honoring her life and memory on Saturday, October 17, 2020, at 11:00 am at Hazel Baptist Church, 301 Gilbert Street E, Hazel, KY 42049.
