Clara Evelyn Routon Hart

Clara Evelyn Routon Hart, age 87 of Paris, TN, died Friday, February 17, 2023, at Henry County Medical Center.

She retired after many years as the co-owner & operator of Hart’s Fish Market alongside her husband.  Clara enjoyed gardening, crocheting, scrapbooking, and loved to read.  She was Baptist by belief, attending Springhill Baptist Church and Shady Grove Baptist Church.

Clara was born March 23, 1935, in Henry County, TN, to the late Elbert Haymes Routon and the late Tommy Simpson Routon.

She was married December 27, 1950, to Frank Hart, who preceded her in death on April 15, 2014.

She is survived by one daughter, Teresa Ray of Henry, TN; one brother, Dale (Sandra) Routon of Henry, TN; four grandchildren, Chris (Tosha) Bowden of Paris, Danny (Deana) Bowden of Paris, Frank Ray of Henry, TN, and Lacresha (Ayman) Hamdan of Murfreesboro, TN; 14 great grandchildren; seven great-great grandchildren; and a son in law Joe Parker of Paris, TN.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was also preceded in death by one daughter, Judy Clara Hart Bowden Parker; two sons-in-law, William “Billy” Bowden and Dale Ray; one great grandchild, Ashley Bowden; and one great-great grandchild, Lincoln Bowden.

Arrangements are being handled by Ridgeway Funeral Home, 201 Dunlap St, Paris, TN.  Visitation will be Monday, February 20, 2023, from 4:00 pm – 7:00 pm at Ridgeway Funeral Home, and continue Tuesday, February 21, 2023, from 11:00 am – 2:00 pm.  The funeral service will be Tuesday, February 21, 2023, at 2:00 pm at Ridgeway Funeral Home with Chad Kennedy officiating.

Grandsons and great grandsons will serve as pallbearers.

Burial will be in a family cemetery in the Hart Family Cemetery in Paris, TN.
