Chris Archie

Christopher Earl Archie “Hollingsworth”, age 34, of Mansfield, TN passed away Thursday, February 21, 2019 at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville, TN.

Chris worked as a self-employed logger.  He volunteered many years for the Henry County Rescue squad and the Pleasant Hill Volunteer Fire Department. He was an avid hunter and enjoyed outdoor activities.

Chris was born November 4, 1984 in Murray, KY.   He is survived by his mother, Tammy Hollingsworth (Jerry) Freeland of Paris, TN; father, Donnie (Lorraine) Archie of Puryear, TN; father, Tommy (Melanie) Hollingsworth of Mansfield, TN; grandparents, Alton (Thelma) Hollingsworth Mansfield, TN, and Betty Thompson of Puryear, TN; aunt, Pat Hollingsworth (Caitlynn Pruitt) of Paris, TN; three uncles, Jeff (Roxanne) Thompson of Paris, TN, Joey Thompson of Puryear, TN, and David (Vickie) Archie of Paris, TN; four sisters, Megan (Ryan Kyle) Hollingsworth of Paris, TN, Reagan Hollingsworth of Mansfield, TN, Madison McDaniel of Mansfield, TN, and Bethany Ragan of Jackson, TN; two brothers, William (Ashley) Archie of Springville, TN, and Cody (Kayla Taylor) Archie of Paris, TN; special niece, MaKray Brown of Paris, TN; two nieces, Maci Mae Archie, and Addelynn Archie; and one nephew, Keegan Archie.

Chris was preceded in death by grandparents, Dale Thompson, James Thompson, Bill Archie, and Joyce Archie; and one sister, Heather Marie Hollingsworth.

Arrangements are being handled by Ridgeway Funeral Home, 201 Dunlap St, Paris, TN.  Visitation will be at Ridgeway Funeral Home Monday, February 25, 2019 from 4 – 7 pm.  Visitation will continue at the Henry County Tabernacle at 8630 Reynoldsburg Rd, Springville, TN  38256 on Tuesday, February 26, 2019 from 9 am – 1 pm with the funeral service at 1:00 pm at the Henry County Tabernacle with Tommy Rushing and Dakota Owsley officiating.

Pallbearers will be Brandon Mellen, Glen Webb, Ryan Kyle, Dale Underwood, William Archie, and Cody Archie.

Burial will follow behind the church in the Community Cemetery in Springville, TN.
