Chester Robbins

Chester Lee Robbins, age 88, of Paris, TN., died Tuesday, October 20, 2015, at Eiffel Gardens Assisted Living in Paris, TN. He was married on January 30, 1949 to Bobbie Sue Groom Robbins, who preceded him in death on December 31, 2011. He was a member of Southern Baptist Church in El Centro, CA. He retired from Central Union High School Bus Department as supervisor in California. He enjoyed playing music since he was 5 years old, and this was his love.
He was the son of the late Henry Robbins and the late Nelly Henchey Robbins.
He is survived by his daughter, Cathi (Richard) Peck of Holly Hill, SC; two sisters, Ruby Adam of Imperial, CA.; and June Henderson of El Centro, CA.
Arrangements are being handled by Ridgeway Funeral Home, 201 Dunlap St. - P.O. Box 788, Paris, Tenn., where visitation will be from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM Saturday, October 24, 2015 and from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM on Sunday, October 25, 2015. Funeral service will be at LeDon Chapel Ridgeway Funeral Home at 2:00 PM Sunday, October 25, 2015.
Jack Thacker will officiate.
Pallbearers will be John Chilcutt, Steve Chilcutt, Stan Chilcutt, Luke Cuthbertson, Monroe Robbins, and Lloyd Allen.
Interment will be at Memorial Cemetery in Paris, TN.
