Charles H. “Chuck” Tapping, III, age 65 of Springville, TN, died Thursday, October 1, 2020, at Henry County Medical Center in Paris.
He retired after several years as a fork-lift operator for Goodyear Tire. Chuck was also a computer programmer who enjoyed anything to do with computers. He also enjoyed strategy war games. Chuck was a U.S. Air Force veteran and a member of the Paris Ward of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.
Chuck was born October 31, 1954, in Chicago, IL, to the late Charles Hawley Tapping, Jr., and the late Evelyn Johnson Tapping.
He was married June 23, 1973, to Dorothy Ruth Kannenberg Tapping, who preceded him in death on September 23, 2016.
He is survived by three daughters, Tina (Tammy) Kent of Lafayette, IN, April (Ted) Pratt of Crosswood, UT, and Trina (Brian) Parsons of Springville, TN; five grandchildren, Stephanie (Sam) Hancock, Joshua Grubb, Kayla (Tom) Porter, Charles Parsons, and Nichole Parsons; two great grandchildren, Theresa Grubb and Xander Hancock; one niece, Heather (Bill) Quinton; one great-niece, Megan Warner and her daughter, Addi; and one great-nephew, Joey Warner.
In addition to his parents and wife, he was also preceded in death by one sister, Sherry Braswell.
Arrangements are being handled by Ridgeway Funeral Home, 201 Dunlap Street/PO Box 788, Paris, TN 38242. Visitation will be Tuesday, October 6, 2020, from 11:00 am – 1:00 pm at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, 1921 Lone Oak Rd, Paris, TN 38242, The funeral service will be Tuesday, October 6, 2020, at 1:00 pm at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, with Brent Adamson officiating.
Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
Burial will be in Birds Creek Cemetery in Paris, TN.
