Charles Edward "Eddie" Evans

Charles Edward “Eddie” Evans, age 57 of Puryear, TN, died Wednesday, May 20, 2020, in Puryear, TN.

He retired after 34 years as a heavy equipment operator with the Henry County Highway Department.  Eddie judged local bull riding and enjoyed training horses.  He loved his family and spending time with his grandchildren.  He was a member of Shady Grove Baptist Church in Paris.

Eddie was born July 3, 1962, in Paris, TN, to the late Charles W. Evans and Shirley Wynn Evans, who survives, of Puryear, TN.

He was married June 2, 1984, to Ninette Nored Evans, who survives, of Puryear, TN.

Along with his mother and wife, he is also survived by one daughter, Montana (Clint) Cummings of Puryear, TN; one son, Clint Evans and special friend, Kristen Corey, of Puryear, TN; two brothers, Kelvin (Melinda) Evans of Puryear, TN, and Marty (Tara) Evans of Puryear, TN; and two grandchildren, Cotton McCrae Cummings, and Maddie Ann Evans.

Arrangements are being handled by Ridgeway Funeral Home, 201 Dunlap Street, P.O. Box 788, Paris, TN 38242.  A drive-thru visitation will be held on Friday, May 22, 2020, from 10:00 am – 1:00 pm on the grounds of the Quality Inn and the Paris Convention Center, 1510 East Wood Street, Paris, TN 38242.  All visitors are asked to remain in their cars at all times.  Please enter from the Wood Street entrance by Ace’s Pizza, follow in the direction of the appropriate signage, then exit on to India Road behind the convention center.  A graveside service will be held Friday, May 22, 2020, at 2:00 pm at the Evans Family Farm, 3240 Rowe School Road, Puryear, TN 38251, where he will be laid to rest, with Chad Kennedy officiating.

Serving as pallbearers will be Clint Evans, Clint Cummings, Kelvin Evans, Marty Evans, Kris Gulish, and Jonathan Rowlett.
