Charles Edward Taylor, age 69, of Paris, Tenn., died Friday, November 20, 2015, at the VA Hospital in Nashville, Tenn.
He attended Barrs Chapel Church and was a U.S. Army Veteran of Vietnam. He was wounded 3 times and received the Purple Heart. Charles graduated from Central High School in 1964. He was employed most of his life by the A.C. and Montez Jackson and Ancel and Carol McDuffee families who loved and supported him very much.
He was born July 7, 1946 in Como, TN to the late Edward Ray “Boots” Taylor and the late Bessie Mai Alexander.
Charles is survived by his One Daughter, Angela Littleton of Jackson, Tenn; One Son, Dexter Williams of Chicago, Ill; One Sister, Dorothy A. Clark of Paris, Tenn; Two Grandchildren, DeAndre Williams of Chicago, IL and Angelica Schwartz of Decatur, IL; Four Great Grandchildren; Nieces, Erica Clark and Shylamar Haley of Paris, TN; Two Aunts, Mary Wilkins and Lola Banks of Paris, TN; Uncle, Harold Alexander of College Point, NY; and Many Cousins and Friends.
Arrangements are being handled by Ridgeway Funeral Home, 201 Dunlap St., Paris, Tenn., where the visitation will be from 11:30 am to 12:30 pm Wednesday, November 25, 2015. The Funeral Service will be Graveside at Greenwood Cemetery at 1:00 pm Wednesday, November 25, 2015.
LeRoy Brent will officiate.
Interment with Military Rites will be at Greenwood Cemetery in Paris, Tenn.
