Charles "Chuck" Lindsey

Charles Ray Lindsey age 87 of Paris died Thursday, January 16, 2025, at Alive Hospice in Nashville, TN.

Chuck worked for many years as a self-employed electrician. He enjoyed shooting pool, traveling, and drag racing. Chuck loved his family immensely and took great pride in being a full time PaPaw to his grandchildren and great grandchildren. He was a member of the Springville, TN Masonic Lodge.

Born September 29, 1937, in Paris, TN, he was the son of the late J.P. Lindsey, and the late Lorene Lankford Lindsey.

He married Lena Jane Carter Lindsey September 6, 1955, and she preceded in him in death November 13, 2011.

Chuck is survived by his five children, Vickie (Troy) Hurt of Hermitage, TN, Sandy (Tracy) Savage of Springville, TN, Steve (Lindy) Lindsey of Germanton, NC, Ronnie (Kim) Lindsey of Paris, TN, and Dale (Anjanette) Lindsey of Nashville, TN; brothers, Carlton Lindsey and his wife Bert of Brainard, MN, Donnie Lindsey of Paris, TN, and Lee (Jenny) Lindsey of Chicago, IL; fourteen grandchildren, twenty great grandchildren, and three great great grandchildren.

Along with his parents and wife, he was also preceded in death by three brothers, Douglas Lindsey, Hunter Lindsey, and Bobby Lindsey.

Ridgeway Funeral Home 201 Dunlap St., P.O. Box 788, Paris, TN 38242 will be handling the arrangements. Visitation will be held Monday, January 20, 2025, from 11:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. His funeral service will be held Monday, January 20, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. at Ridgeway Funeral Home.

Serving as pallbearers for service will be Austin Lindsey, Steven Lindsey, Aaron Lindsey, Billy Ray Page, William Washer, Bobby Washer, Troy Hurt, and Josh Black. Tracy Savage, Sid Shingre, Joey Glover, Justin Stevens, Alex Lewis, Cody Clanton, Darren French, and Alexander Soler will serve as honorary pallbearers.

Burial will follow the service in Bevil Cemetery.
