Charles Akers

Charles O’Neal Akers, age 77 of Paris, TN, died Friday, January 31, 2020 at AHC of Paris.

He retired from Nobel Automotive in Paris, and was Baptist in his faith.

Charles was born August 25, 1942 in Camden, TN to the late Jewell Madison Akers and the late Margie Marie Johnson Akers.

He was married on April 27, 1996 to Sandra Lee Dunlap Akers who preceded him in death on October 22, 2010.

Charles is survived by one step-daughter, Gina (Tim) Hudgins of Paris, TN; two step-sons, Larry (Marsha) Milliken of Paris, TN, and Darrell Milliken of Paris, TN; one sister, Ernestine Hale of Trenton, TN; three brothers, Robert (Wanda) Akers of Indiana, David (Dale) Akers of Dyersburg, TN, and Jesse (Michelle) Akers of Winchester, TN; one sister-in-law, Pat Akers of Bartlett, TN; and several step-grandchildren, step- great grandchildren, and nieces and nephews.

Besides his parents and wife, Charles was also preceded in death by three brothers, Franklin Akers, George Akers, and Roy Leonard Akers in infancy.

Arrangements are being handled by Ridgeway Funeral Home, 201 Dunlap St, Paris, TN.   There will be a graveside service on Friday, February 7, 2020 at 1:00 pm at Bevil Cemetery in Paris with Bro. Craig Peevyhouse officiating.

Burial will follow in Bevil Cemetery in Paris, TN.
