Charlene "Charlie" Whitford

Charlene Hays Whitford, age 66 of Puryear, TN, died Thursday, March 28, 2019, at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville, TN.

She formerly worked at Comalloy International Corporation in Nashville, TN, and Bethany Christian Services in Nashville, TN.  Charlie moved to Puryear from Mount Juliet in 2012 to care for her father.  She was a member of North Fork Baptist Church in Puryear.  She enjoyed growing tomatoes and gardening, and loved her granddaughter, Josephine.

Charlie was born October 9, 1952, to Charles E. Paschall, who survives, of Puryear, TN, and the late Carlene Stephens Paschall.

She is survived by two sons, Matthew "Matt" (Rena) Whitford of Franklin, TN, and Joshua (Flor) Whitford of Hermitage, TN; one brother, Charles “Butch” (Sandra) Paschall of Puryear, TN; one granddaughter, Josephine Whitford of Franklin, TN; two nieces, Pam (Steve) DeLuca, and Kimmi (Paul) Hayes; two nephews, Steven Pistilli and Kerry (Pam) Paschall; and a cousin, Debbie (Roger) Rhodes of Hazel, KY.

In addition to her mother, she was also preceded in death by one sister, Judy Kay Pistilli.

Arrangements will be handled by Ridgeway Funeral Home, 201 Dunlap St., Paris, TN, 38242.  Visitation will be Monday, April 1, 2019, from 4:00 pm – 7:00 pm at Ridgeway Funeral Home, and continue Tuesday, April 2, 2019, from 9:00 am – 11:00 am.  The funeral service will be Tuesday, April 2, 2019, at 11:00 am at LeDon Chapel of Ridgeway Funeral Home, with Malcolm Norton and Charlie Miles officiating.

Pallbearers will be Tilman Paschall, Roger Rhodes, Joshua Hunt, Paul Hayes, Jeremy Schultz, and Jim Eddy.

Burial will be in Walker Cemetery in Paris, TN.
