Carolyn Emmons Long, age 72 of Paris, TN, died Tuesday, July 7, 2020, at her residence.
She was an administrative assistant for St. John’s Community Services in Paris, a non-profit public advocacy organization for people with disabilities. Carolyn enjoyed sewing, gardening, and flowers. She loved spending time with her grandchildren.
Carolyn was born September 4, 1947, in Vincennes, IN, to the late Russell Franklin Emmons and the late Grace Kathleen (Williams) Emmons.
She is survived by three children, Anthony Thomas of Paris, TN, Phillip Darran Howard of Paris, TN, and Krystal (Terry) Burkeen of Lafayette, TN; one sister, Martina Emmons Foos of Kissimee, FL; one brother, Russell (Tracy) Emmons of Petersburg, IN; six grandchildren, Devon (Layken) Thomas, Logan Thomas, Andrew Burkeen, Brody Burkeen, Annabelle Burkeen, and Lillian Burkeen; and one great gradson, Weston Thomas.
In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by one sister, Karen Emmons Laird; and one brother, Mark Emmons.
Arrangements are being handled by Ridgeway Funeral Home, 201 Dunlap Street, Paris, TN 38242. The body is to be cremated with a celebration of life to be held at a later date at Carolyn’s home.
