Carolyn Williams

Carolyn Williams, age 74, of Springville, Tenn., died Saturday, October 11, 2014, at Vanderbilt Univ. Med. Center in Nashville, Tenn.

She was married to John William "Johnny" Williams in May of 1957 and he survives.    She owned and operated Buchanan  Resort with Johnny since the mid 60's and she was a member of Russwood Baptist Church.

Carolyn was born October 14, 1939 in Springville, TN to the late John David Buchanan and the late Mable Williams Buchanan.

Besides her husband, she is also survived by her One Daughter,  Pam (Rusty) Robison of Springville, Tenn; One Son,  John D. (Vonda) Williams of Springville, Tenn;  Five Grandchildren, Rebecca (Clint) Stewart, Derrick Williams, Leah, Rachel and Hannah Robison;  Two Great Grandchildren, Caroline and Cora Stewart;  One Niece, Kim (Tom) Wilson of Springville, TN and One Nephew, Randy Scarbrough of Paris, TN.

Besides her parents, Carolyn was also preceded in death by Two Sisters, Elrita Scarbrough, and Betty Dyer.

Arrangements are being handled by Ridgeway Funeral Home, 201 Dunlap St., Paris, Tenn., where the visitation will be from 4 – 7 pm Sunday, October 12, 2014 and from 9 – 11 am Monday, October 13, 2014.   The Funeral Service will be at LeDon Chapel of Ridgeway Funeral Home at 11:00 AM Monday, October 13, 2014.

David Alan Jackson will officiate.   Pallbearers will be Brian Allen, Dwayne Lax, Tom Wilson, David King, Bob Cathey and Bobby Dyer.

Interment will be at Williams Cemetery in Springville, Tenn.
