Carolyn Mcdavid

Carolyn Ann McDavid, age 72 of Paris, TN, died Wednesday, July 24, 2019, at her residence.

She was a homemaker, who formerly worked at Holley Carburetor Plant and kept babies at Miss Betty’s.  She was a member of Jones Chapel Baptist Church in Paris, where she taught Sunday school and kept the nursery.

Carolyn was born March 31, 1947, in Camden, TN, to the late Frank Sparks and the late Annie Mae Hartley Sparks.

She was married March 1, 1968, to her husband of 51 years, James “Frank” McDavid, who survives, of Paris, TN.

Along with her husband, she is also survived by two daughters, Teresa (Randall) Perry of Paris, TN, and Jennifer McDavid of Paris, TN; one son, James (Amie) McDavid of Knoxville, TN; two sisters, Sue Brown of Paris, TN, and Brenda Oakley of Camden, TN; one brother, Harold (Kathleen) Sparks of White Bluff, TN; and three grandchildren, Joseph Lee Perry, Logan McDavid, and Conner McDavid.

In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by one sister, Sandy Easley; and two brothers, Randy Sparks and Danny Sparks.

Arrangements are being handled by Ridgeway Funeral Home, 201 Dunlap St, Paris, TN, where visitation will be Friday, July 26, 2019, from 4:00 pm – 7:00 pm and continue Saturday, July 27, 2019, from 10:00 am – 11:00 am.  The funeral service will be Saturday, July 27, 2019, at 11:00 am at LeDon Chapel of Ridgeway Funeral Home, with Mitch Fiscus officiating.

Family & friends will serve as pallbearers.

Burial will be in Jones Chapel Cemetery in Paris, TN.
