Carolyn Virginia Todd Mathis, age 89, of Paris, Tenn., died Wednesday, September 3, 2014, at Huntingdon Health and Rehab Center in Huntingdon, Tenn.
She was married to Joe T. Mathis, and he died July 3, 1977.
Mrs. Mathis retired from Salant & Salant after 27 years. She loved going to yard sales.
She was born October 5, 1924 in Paris, TN to the late Pete Todd and the late Flossie May Wiseman Todd.
She is survived by her One Son, Bobby Mathis of Paris, Tenn; One Sister, Martha Todd of Paris, Tenn; Ten Grandchildren, Alicia Mathis and fiancé Josh Wyatt, Carolyn Mathis, Little Joe Mathis, Little Bobby Mathis and Johnny Mathis all of Paris and five other grandchildren; and Two Great Grandchildren.
Besides her husband and parents, Carolyn was also preceded in death by son, Joe Mathis Jr.; sister, Dorothy Beecham and 1 in infancy; Two Grandchildren, Jerry Mathis and J.B. Mathis.
Arrangements are being handled by Ridgeway Funeral Home, 201 Dunlap St., Paris, Tenn.
She will be cremated with a Memorial Service to be held at a later date.
