Caroline Jackson Brannon

Caroline Jackson Brannon, age 63 of Puryear, TN, died Wednesday, January 25, 2023, at her residence after a long battle with leukemia and multiple sclerosis.

She was the co-owner of B&G Equipment of Hopkinsville, KY, for 17 years up until the time declining health prompted the sale of the business.  She previously worked for Tecumseh Products for 20 years in Paris.  A Baptist by belief, Caroline was a faithful servant of Jones Chapel Baptist Church in Paris for 18 years before moving to Cadiz, KY, where she was a member of Cadiz Baptist Church for 20 years.

Caroline was born October 2, 1959, in Paris, TN, to the late Harold B. Jackson and the late Verla Gray Jackson.

She was married July 26, 1980, to Larry H. Brannon, who survives, of Puryear, TN.

Along with her husband, she is also survived by one son, James Elliott (Kara) Brannon of Cadiz, KY; four sisters, Diana Gray Roach of Pekin, IL, Cynthia Lee (Bobby) Perry of Paris, Deborah J. (Ralph) Malatesta of Seattle, WA, and Melanie Stockdale of Tinsley Park, IL; three brothers, James Frazer (Faye) Jackson of McEwen, TN, Clifton Gray Jackson of Erin, TN, and Harold (Margaret) Jackson of Paris; and very special friend and caretaker, Callie Patterson of Henry, TN.

Arrangements are being handled by Ridgeway Funeral Home, 201 Dunlap Street/PO Box 788, Paris, TN 38242.  Visitation will be Tuesday, January 31, 2023, from 11:00 am – 12:30 pm at Ridgeway Funeral Home.  A graveside service will be held Tuesday, January 31, 2023, at 1:00 pm at Maplewood Cemetery in Paris with Chad Kennedy officiating.

Serving as pallbearers will be Scott Stockdale, Richard Stockdale, David Stockdale, Randall Perry, Cliff Perry, and Brian Beecham.

Burial will follow the graveside service in Maplewood Cemetery.
