Carol Powers

Patricia Carol Powers, age 67 of Paris, TN, died Friday, October 11, 2019, at her residence after battling a long illness.

She retired after many years as a real estate agent, last working for Re/Max Real Estate in Paris.  She was the former owner & operator of Salon Freedom, also in Paris.  Carol was very spiritual and strong in her Christian faith.  She loved the outdoors, gardening, and crafting.  She enjoyed music, singing, and playing & teaching piano.

Carol was born March 12, 1952, in McKenzie, TN, to the late Bro. Douglas Nash and the late Dorothy Ivie Nash.

She was married June 5, 1969, to her husband of 50 years, Junior Powers, who survives, of Paris, TN.

Along with her husband, she is also survived by one daughter, Tammy (Troy) Rutland of Cherokee, AL; one son, Jeremy (Jill) Powers of Paris, TN; one sister, Sylvia Nash of Martin, TN; one brother, Jerry (Ruth) Nash of Cookeville, TN; several step grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Arrangements are being handled by Ridgeway Funeral Home 201 Dunlap Street, Paris, TN 38242.  Visitation will be Sunday, October 13, 2019, from 12:00 pm – 2:00 pm at Ridgeway Funeral Home, with the funeral service to begin at 2:00 pm at LeDon Chapel of Ridgeway Funeral Home, with Bro. Jerry Nash and Bro. Carlton Gerrell officiating.

Serving as pallbearers will be Joe Pat Moody, Ricky Nash, Bob Leach, Jerry Newman, Ricky Matheny, and John Akers.  Named as an honorary pallbearer is Darris Nash.

Burial will be in Olive Branch Cemetery in Cottage Grove, TN.
