Carl Harrison Wright

Longtime Henry County business owner, Carl Harrison Wright, age 92, died on June 20, 2019, at his residence, after a brief illness.

Carl was born on May 28, 1927, to the late Clifford & Leara Wright, and was married for 62 years to the late Beatrice Norwood Wright.

Services will be held at Ridgeway Funeral Home, 201 Dunlap Street, Paris, TN 38242, on Saturday, June 22, 2019, at 1:00 pm, with visitation Saturday, June 22, 2019, from 10:00 am – 1:00 pm.  Burial will be at the Mansfield Baptist Church Cemetery in Mansfield, TN.

Carl had a varied career that allowed him to develop a large network of friends and associates.  He was a car salesman and operated septic, excavation, and gravel businesses.  He was an expert mechanic.

Surviving family members include his wife, Mary Lois Sparks Wright; son, Robert Alton “Al” Wright and wife Jennifer; daughter, Janice Kaye Richards and husband Jimmy; stepson, Bubba Sparks; granddaughter, Misty O’Brien and husband Steven; and great grandchildren, Kalee O’Brien and Ethan O’Brien.

He also leaves a brother, William “Bill” Wright and wife Bobbie Jean; sister, Marcelle Smith; brother-in-law, Jack Norwood and wife Mary Lou; and several nephews and nieces.

He was a former U.S. Army serviceman in the World War II era.  He was a member of Apostolic Chapel in Paris.
