Carla Faye Whitthorne

Carla Faye Whitthorne, age 82 of Paris, TN, died Sunday, January 28, 2024, at her residence.

She retired after many years from Mohon International in Paris.  Carla loved camping, NASCAR, and enjoyed playing dominos, especially Chickenfoot.  She was a member of Fairview Baptist Church in Paris.

Carla was born February 15, 1941, in Alamo, TN, to the late Carl Marvin Huffine and the late Audie Faye Williams Bell.

She was married May 30, 1989, to William Baker Whitthorne, who survives, of Paris, TN.

Along with her husband, she is also survived by six children; Allen (Donna) Conkwright of Owensboro, KY, Rhonda Butcher of Paris, TN, Becky Singleton of Paris, TN, Jeff (Lori) Whitthorne of Ledbetter, Ky, Wendy (Tony) Murt of Paducah, KY, Penney (Jimmy) Culp of Benton, KY; two brothers, Gary (Beverly) Huffine of Paducah, KY, and Terry (Natalie) Huffine of Paris, TN; 18 grandchildren, Matt Childers, Natalie (Nathan Sipe) Conkwright, Josh (Tiffany) Childers, Tyler (Kara) Conkwright, Brittany (Will) Vaughn, Jordan Singleton, Jeremy Perkins, Jessica Singleton, Brandon Hess, Samantha (Chase Dodson) Rushing, Christina (Ryan) Looper, Gracie Murt, Ashby Murt, Lindsey (Brian) Gilpin, Carly Culp, Allye Culp, Cody Culp, and Thomas Freeland; 19 great grandchildren, Amelia, Blaine, Presley, Treyson, Rylan, Maxson, Taylor, Sadie, Wade, Brayden, Addyson, Emerson, Kendall, Karter, Sophie, Thalia, Chloe, William, and Atlas; and special friends who were like sisters, Kay Houston and Carol McBee of Paris, TN.

In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by one daughter, Kim Gooch.

Arrangements are being handled by Ridgeway Funeral Home, 201 Dunlap Street/PO Box 788, Paris, TN 38242.  Visitation will be Thursday, February 1, 2024, from 11:00 am – 1:00 pm at Fairview Baptist Church, with the funeral service at 1:00 pm at Fairview Baptist Church with Dr. Johnathan Smith officiating.

Matt Childers, Josh Childers, Tyler Conkwright, Jeremy Perkins, Will Vaughn, Brandon Hess, Thomas Freeland and Cody Culp will serve as pallbearers.

Cremation will follow the service.
