Bonnie D. Mcpherson

Bonnie D. McPherson, age 86 of Paris, TN, died Wednesday, October 25, 2017, at Paris Healthcare & Rehabilitation Center in Paris, TN.

She was a former receptionist for her husband’s optometry practice in Paris, TN, and continued to work for Jim Taylor’s practice as it later became Paris Vision Clinic.  She enjoyed playing the piano, was a good cook, and formerly enjoyed working with her hands.  She was Baptist in belief.

Bonnie was born September 13, 1931, in Pontotoc, MS, to the late Clyde D. Owen and the late Tinie Turpin Owen.

She was married December 20, 1951, to Donald Douglas McPherson, who preceded her in death on April 23, 1962.

She is survived by one daughter, Susan Todd of Hammond, LA; one son, Doug (Kim) McPherson of Centennial, CO; one sister, Bernice Lyle of Memphis, TN; one brother, Joe (Annette) Owen of Raleigh, NC; three grandchildren, Lauren Todd of Philadelphia, PA, Connor McPherson of Centennial, CO, and Caitlin McPherson of Centennial, CO.

Along with her parents and husband, she was also preceded in death by one son, Donald Timothy “Tim” McPherson in 2007.

Arrangements are being handled by Ridgeway Funeral Home, 201 Dunlap St, Paris, TN, where visitation will be Tuesday, October 31, 2017, from 9:00 am – 11:00 am, with the funeral service beginning at 11:00 am at LeDon Chapel of Ridgeway Funeral Home.

Burial will follow in Hillcrest Memorial Park in Paris, TN.
