Bobby Gene Mathis

Bobby Gene Mathis age 70 of Paris, died Wednesday, October 11, 2023, at his residence.

Bobby worked several years as a press operator at Dana before his health forced him to retire. He enjoyed his work, doing odd jobs, fishing, and anything that kept him busy.

Bobby was born August 17, 1953, in Kentucky. He was the son of the late Joe Mathis, Sr., and the late Carolyn Todd Mathis.

He is survived by a daughter, Alicia (Justin) DeGuise and her mother, Melinda Pate both of Paris; a grandson, Xavier DeGuise; and a nephew, Joe Mathis.

In addition to his parents, Bobby was also preceded in death by a brother, Joey Mathis.

Arrangements are being handled by Ridgeway Funeral Home, 201 Dunlap Street, Paris, TN, 38242.  The body is to be cremated, with the family conducting a memorial service at a later date.
