Bobby Chandler

Bobby Gene Chandler, age 83 of Mansfield, TN, died Tuesday, April 23, 2019, at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital in Jackson, TN.

He retired as the owner and operator of BM&S Grocery, formerly Chandler’s Grocery in Mansfield, TN.  Bobby was a member of Mansfield Baptist Church.  He enjoyed playing the guitar, building things, gardening, and being outdoors.

Bobby was born June 25, 1935, in Mansfield, TN, to the late Walter Franklin Chandler and the late Lucy Johnson Chandler.

He was married November 12, 1982, to Martha Louise Butcher Chandler, who survives, of Mansfield, TN.

Along with his wife, he is also survived by one daughter, Sarah (Michael) Rundles of Mattoon, IL; one brother, Roy Chandler of Louisville, KY; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by one sister, Dottie Swisher; and four brothers, Delbert Chandler, Woodrow Chandler, Johnny Chandler, and Willy Chandler.

Arrangements will be handled by Ridgeway Funeral Home, 201 Dunlap St., Paris, TN, 38242.  The body is to be cremated.  Graveside memorial visitation will be Saturday, May 25, 2019, from 12:00 pm – 1:00 pm at Mansfield Baptist Cemetery, 2465 Mansfield Road, Mansfield, TN 38236.  A graveside memorial service will be held Saturday, May 25, 2019, at 1:00 pm at Mansfield Baptist Cemetery, with Gerry Gallimore officiating.

Burial will follow the graveside memorial service in Mansfield Baptist Cemetery.
