Bobbie Jean Nance, age 91 of Paris, TN, passed away Monday, December 9, 2024 in Paris.
Bobbie Jean was a member of East Wood Church of Christ. She was the manager of Big Eagle Campground for 10 years. She formerly worked at Salant and Salant Shirt Factory, cooked at Cottage Grove School, and owned and operated Bob’s Café in Cottage Grove. She enjoyed her flower garden and cooking.
She was born March 4, 1933, in Paris, TN to the late Curtis Lee Paschall and the late Ella Nichols Paschall.
Bobbie was married on December 23, 1950, to Roy Lynn Nance and he preceded in death on December 28, 2000.
She is survived by one daughter, Pam (Carl Ray) Hoofman of Mansfield, TN; one son, Roger (Susan) Nance of Cottage Grove, TN; one sister, Mary Evelyn Mathis of Paris, TN; one brother, James Earl (Louise) Paschall of Paris, TN; eight grandchildren, Rusty Nance, Rachel Castello (Ryan Ybarra), Amy (Drew) Miller, Amanda (Kenny) New, Jenifer (Eric) Pettit, Carla (Richie) Bomar, Kyle (Ginger) Foster, and Mark (Jinny) Pritchet, 20 great grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
Beside her husband and parents, Bobbie Jean was also preceded in death by one sister, Minnie Mai Kimbel; and two brothers, Curtis Lee Paschall and Clovis Paschall.
Arrangements are being handled by Ridgeway Funeral Home, 201 Dunlap Street/PO Box 788, Paris, TN 38242. Visitation will be Saturday, December 14, 2024, from 11:00 am - 1:00 pm at Ridgeway Funeral Home, with funeral service beginning at 1:00 pm at Ridgeway Funeral Home with Chad Kennedy officiating. Family members will serve as pallbearers.
Burial will follow in Olive Branch Cemetery.
