Bob Ellis

Bob Ellis, age 86 of Paris, TN, died Sunday, March 18, 2018, at Henry County Medical Center in Paris, TN.

He retired after 20 years with the Henry County Highway Department.  He was a US Army veteran and a member of the Woodman of the World.  He loved dancing, playing cards, dominos, and bingo.  He enjoyed socializing and people.  He was a member of Central Point Baptist Church in Paris.

Bob was born August 8, 1931, in Paris, TN, to the late James Price Ellis and the late Sarah Lunette Beasley Ellis.

He is survived by one daughter, Penny Lee Ellis (Vaughn) West of Traverse City, MI; one son, David Joe (Julie) Ellis of Grand Rapids, MI; one stepdaughter, Patricia Priddy; one sister, Lena (Glen) Morgan of Paris, TN; seven grandchildren; several great grandchildren; and a special nephew, Jerry (Donna) Ellis of Paris, TN.

Along with his parents, he was also preceded in death by his former wife, Sue Ellis; one son, Robert Earl Ellis; one stepdaughter, Carolyn Sue Rogers; four sisters, Wilma Parker, Virginia Nell Gallimore, Marie Ellis, and Ruth Ross; and two brothers, Earl Ray Ellis and James Walter Ellis.

Arrangements are being handled by Ridgeway Funeral Home, 201 Dunlap St, Paris, TN, where visitation will be Tuesday, March 20, 2018, from 4:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m., and continue Wednesday, March 21, 2018, from 12:00 pm – 1:00 pm.  The funeral service will be Wednesday, March 21, 2018, at 1:00 pm at LeDon Chapel of Ridgeway Funeral Home.

Serving as pallbearers will be Donald Ellis, Michael Wade, Kevin Johnson, Bub Cantrell, Jason Priddy, and Ed Ellis.  Honorary pallbearers will be his grandsons, nephews, and Doug Johnson.

Burial will be in Olive Branch Cemetery in Cottage Grove, TN.
