Bob Caterer

Robert Earl “Bob” Caterer, age 77, of Cottage Grove, Tenn., died Saturday, April 23, 2016, at Henry County Medical Center in Paris, Tenn.
Born August 31, 1938 in Norwood, Massachusetts, he was the son of the late Earl Caterer and the late Grace Murphy Caterer.
Bob was a former Sergeant at the Henry County’s Sheriff’s Office where he worked from 1979 until he retired in 1999. He attended Maplewood Baptist Church and was a US Army veteran.
He is survived by his daughter, Jan (Marty) Nix of Clermont, Ga; Sister, Carol Caterer of Dunedin, Fla; and his Grandchildren, Matthew Nix and Jessica Nix both of Clermont, GA.
Arrangements are being handled by Ridgeway Funeral Home, 201 Dunlap St., Paris, Tenn., where the visitation will be from 1 – 2 pm Wednesday, April 27, 2016. The Funeral Service will be at LeDon Chapel of Ridgeway Funeral Home at 2:00 pm Wednesday, April 27, 2016, with Corey Cain officiating.
Interment will be in the Middle Tennessee State Veterans Cemetery in Nashville, TN on Thursday April 28, 2016.
Past and present members of the Henry County Sheriff’s Dept. will serve as Honorary Pallbearers.
