Billy Ray Schaffer

Billy R. Schaffer, age 77 of Springville, TN, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, March 5, 2019.  Billy was born July 1, 1941, in New Madrid, MO, son of J.W. & Lorina Wren Schaffer.  He moved to Tennessee in 2001 coming from Rockford, IL, with his wife & soul mate Kathleen Townsend Schaffer, who survives, in Tennessee.

Billy loved to dance, play his guitar, and work on automobiles.  He was a construction worker for 30 years.  He also owned & ran his own automobile repair shops with his wife in both Rockford, IL, and Tennessee.

Billy was always there to give a helping hand to anyone in need.  He will be greatly missed.

Survivors include his wife Kathleen, children & stepchildren, Ronnie, Judy, Toby, Michelle, Mary, and special grandson Nicolas, along with brother, Ron, sisters, Shirley, Linda, Kathy, plus numerous nieces and nephews and grandchildren.  Preceded in death by his parents and brother John.

Arrangements are being handled by Ridgeway Funeral Home, 201 Dunlap Street, Paris, TN

His body is to be cremated and no funeral services are planned at Billy’s request.
