Billy Wimberley

Billy Dean Wimberley, age 80, of Paris, Tenn., died Monday, August 17, 2015, at Paris Healthcare & Rehab Center in Paris, Tenn.

Billy married Peggy Jean Burdin Wimberley September 24, 1960 and she survives.

He was a Member of Fairview Baptist Church where he was saved for over 50 years.   He served in the Army National Guard from April 1953 to March 1995.   He retired from Haldex Corp. after 41 years.    Billy enjoyed farming and Gardening and spending time with his family.

He was born March 27, 1935 in Cottage Grove, TN to the late John Aden Wimberley and the late Lillie Mae Jenkins Wimberley.

Besides his wife Peggy, he is also survived by his  Three Sons,  Tracy Wimberley of Somerville, Tenn,  Tony Wimberley of Paris, Tenn,  Terry Wimberley of Paris, Tenn;  One Sister,  Sue Hicks of Jackson, Tenn;  One Brother,  Gene (Carol) Wimberley of Murray, Ky;  Three Grandchildren,  Amanda (Willie) Nelson of Phoenix, AZ, Eric (Kendra) Wimberley of Greenfield, TN,  and Adam Wimberley of Paris, TN;   Great Grandchildren, Avery Nelson, Ashlyn Nelson, Hannah Wimberley, Vivian Wimberley, Juda Wimberley, and Deven Nelson.

Arrangements are being handled by Ridgeway Funeral Home, 201 Dunlap St.,  Paris, Tenn., where the visitation will be from 4 – 8 pm Wednesday, August 19, 2015 and from 9 - 10:30 am Thursday, August 20, 2015.     The Funeral Service will be at LeDon Chapel of Ridgeway Funeral Home at 10:30 AM Thursday, August 20, 2015.

John Smith will officiate.    Pallbearers will be Eric Wimberley, Adam Wimberley, David Wimberley, Tom Hicks, Carl Dillon, and Jerry Shepherd.

Interment with full military honors will follow at Bethesda Cemetery on Hwy 69 South of Paris, Tenn.
