Billy Ray Wilson, 81, of Buchanan died Tuesday, Feb. 18, 2014, at his residence.
His wife, D. Eloise Middlebrook Wilson, survives. They were married in April 1982.
His body was cremated.No service or visitation is planned. Ridgeway Funeral Home handled arrangements.
Born Dec. 30, 1932, in Brownstown, Ind., he was a son of the late Raymond Wilson and Elsie Berry Skaggs.
Mr. Wilson was a Retired General Motors Supervisor. He was a member and a former deacon of Friendship Baptist Church, a Gideon and a U.S. Air Force veteran. He retired from General Motors in Indiana. He was involved in a Jeep club and according to a family member enjoyed playing music until his illness.
He also leaves six daughters: Phyllis (Willie) West of Georgia, Delores Bailey of Murray, Doris (Bob) Tolbert, Beverly Wilson and Vicki (Curt) Grimes, all of Kokomo, Ind., and Patricia (Jerry) Kagnig of Indiana; two sons: Bill (Molly) Wilson of Paris and Russell (Paula) Jackson of Indiana; a sister-in-law: Nancy Wilson of Texas; 16 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and several great-great-grandchildren.
He also was preceded in death by a sister: Joann McCain; and a brother: Arthur Wilson.
