Billy Owens

Billy Edward Owens age 95 of Paris, died Saturday, February 8, 2020, at the Ray & Kay Eckstein Hospice Care Center in Paducah, KY.

Billy was a longtime insurance agent in Paris. He owned and operated the Owens Insurance Agency which was later bought and called Balch & Reynolds Insurance Agency. Billy served in both World War II and the Korean Conflict. He was a member of First Baptist Church in Paris and a former member of the Lions and Rotary Clubs.

Born September 8, 1924, in Bardwell, KY, Billy was the son of the late I. J. Owens and the late Inez Dodson Owens. He married Naomi Johnson Owens December 21, 1945, who preceded in death February 12, 2010.

Survivors include two brothers, Roy Owens of Wickliffe, KY, and I. J. Owens of Bellflower, CA,  along with several nieces and nephews.

Along with his parents and wife, Billy was preceded in death by two sons, Randy Edward Owens and Ricky Ray Owens, a sister, Katherine Denton, and two brothers, Burl Owens and Ralf Owens.

Ridgeway Funeral Home 201 Dunlap St., Paris, TN 38242 will be handling the arrangements. There will be no public visitation. A graveside service will be held Monday, February 10, 2020, at 11 am at Memorial Cemetery with Dr. Trent Bullock officiating.

Burial will follow in the Memorial Cemetery.
