Bill Robinson

Bill Robinson, age 75 of Puryear, TN, died Sunday, March 13, 2022, at Murray-Calloway County Hospital in Murray, KY.

He retired from Tecumseh after many years where he worked in maintenance.  He was a member of Puryear Church of Christ, where he served as an Elder for many years.  Bill was a longtime Alderman for the City of Puryear and a U.S. Army Vietnam veteran.  He was everybody’s handyman, loved farming, and spending time with his grandchildren.

Bill was born August 22, 1946, in Buchanan, TN, to the late Clifton Robinson and the late Elaine Osborn Robinson.

He was married April 4, 1969, to Freida Ray Robinson, who survives, of Puryear, TN.

Along with his wife, he is also survived by his two daughters, Heather (Jason) French of Puryear, TN, and Raysha Robinson of Springville, TN; one sister, Jane Curd of Murray, KY; one brother, Jerrell Robinson of Camden, TN; four grandchildren, Ethan French, Elaina French, Case Blankenship, and Tucker Williams; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by two brothers, James “Bubba” Robinson and Ronnie Robinson.

Arrangements are being handled by Ridgeway Funeral Home, 201 Dunlap Street/PO Box 788, Paris, TN 38242.  Visitation will be Tuesday, March 15, 2022, from 4:00 pm – 7:00 pm at Ridgeway Funeral Home, and continue Wednesday, March 16, 2022, from 11:00 am – 1:00 pm.  The funeral service will be Wednesday, March 16, 2022, at 1:00 pm at Ridgeway Funeral Home, with Don Campbell officiating.

Serving as pallbearers will be Kerry Pat Ray, Rodney Ray, Doug Ray, Jay Robinson, Jeremy Robinson, and Joel Robinson.  Named as honorary pallbearers are Ethan French, Case Blankenship, Elaina French, Tucker Williams, Barry Trussell, Cliff Curd, Chris Robinson, and Scott Robinson.

Burial will be in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery in Buchanan, TN.
