Betty Williams Roberson

Betty Williams Roberson, age 80 of Paris, TN, died Thursday, December 7, 2017, at Paris Healthcare & Rehabilitation Center in Paris, TN.

She formerly worked locally as a switch board operator, and also at Holley Carburetor Plant.  She was a self-employed childcare provider for several years, where she loved and cared for countless local children in the 80’s, 90’s, and 2000’s through her business.  She was a graduate of Grove High School and a member of Point Pleasant Baptist Church.

Betty was born June 24, 1937, in Paris, TN, to the late Theron Leon Williams and the late Geraldyne Moody Williams.

She was married January 19, 1958, to Herman Elroy Roberson, who preceded her in death on March, 21, 2010.

She is survived by three sons, David Elroy (Cindy) Roberson of Paducah, KY, James Darren (Christy Brown) Roberson of Paris, TN, and William Douglas (Starla) Roberson of Paris, TN; four sisters, Penny (Eugene) Bethel of Paris, TN, Dian Terry of Dover, TN, Brenda (Joel) Sutton of Charlotte, NC, and Jona Carolyn (Hugh) Tyler of Cottage Grove, TN; one brother, Allen Leon (Nellie) Williams of Paris, TN; one sister-in-law, Carol Williams of Franklin, TN; six grandchildren, Samantha (Andy) McManus, Paige Roberson, Landon Roberson, Meridith Roberson, Caris Roberson, and Keaton Roberson; and one great grandchild, Aaron McManus.

Along with her parents and husband, she was also preceded in death by one daughter, Cynthia Dawn Roberson in infancy; and two brothers, Larry Williams and Tommy H. Williams.

Arrangements are being handled by Ridgeway Funeral Home, 201 Dunlap St, Paris, TN, where visitation will be Saturday, December 9, 2017, from 3:00 pm – 6:00 pm, and continue Sunday, December 10, 2017, from 1:00 pm – 2:00 pm.  The funeral service will be Sunday, December 10, 2017, at 2:00 pm at LeDon Chapel of Ridgeway Funeral Home, with Larry Dukes officiating.

Burial will be in VanDyke Grove Cemetery in Paris, TN.
