Betty J. McRee Isbell, age 84 of Paris, TN, died Sunday, March 29, 2020, at her residence.
She retired after many years in retail working as a sales assistant for Kmart. Betty was Baptist by belief and formerly attended Jolley Springs Baptist Church. She enjoyed reading, especially all Danielle Steel novels. She loved traveling and the beach.
Betty was born December 22, 1935, in the Como community of Weakley County to the late Edgar Porter McRee and Lola Mae Todd McRee.
She was married January 17, 1951, to her husband of 69 years, Thomas Isbell, who survives, of Paris, TN.
Along with her husband, she is survived by three daughters, Deborah Wampler of Paris, TN, Rita (Thomas) Robertson of Arnold, MO, and Donna (Byron) Eller of Paris, TN; one son, Roger (Susan) Isbell of Valley Park, MO; two daughters-in-law, Shirley Isbell of Marion, IL, and Sherry Isbell of Otto, MO; 14 grandchildren; 20 plus great grandchildren; six great-great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by two sons, Thomas Richard Isbell and Dariel Ray Isbell; one sister, Mary West; and two brothers, Tancil McRee and R.C. McRee.
Arrangements are being handled by Ridgeway Funeral Home, 201 Dunlap Street, Paris, TN. A private family service will be held.
Family & friends will serve as pallbearers.
Burial will be in Olive Branch Cemetery in Cottage Grove, TN.
