Betty Elizabeth Lee

Betty Elizabeth Lee, age 76 of Springville, TN, died Friday, August 14, 2020, at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital in Jackson, TN.

She was the owner of Mrs. Betty’s Happy House Daycare in Henry County.  She was also a caregiver for the elderly for many years.  Betty loved sewing and cooking and riding on the pontoon boat.  She attended First Church of the Nazarene in Paris.

Betty was born October 8, 1943, in Buena Vista, GA, to the late Lester Grimsley and the late Ruby Waters Grimsley.

She was married April 9, 1971, to her husband of 49 years, Jimmy Wayne Lee, who survives, of Springville, TN.

Along with her husband, she is also survived by her two daughters, Debbie (Jesse) Gonzales of Bryan, TX, and Faith Elizabeth Lee of Springville, TN; three sisters, Myron (Archie) Lee of North Carolina, Dale Christopher of Alabama, and Mary Ann Nose of Illinois; one brother, Clyde Grimsley of Georgia; five grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by one daughter, Penny Darlene Armstrong; and one sister, Earline McAllister.

Arrangements are being handled by Ridgeway Funeral Home, 201 Dunlap Street/PO Box 788, Paris, TN 38242.  Visitation will be Tuesday, August 18, 2020, from 1:00 pm – 3:00 pm at Ridgeway Funeral Home, with a prayer service beginning at 3:00 pm at LeDon Chapel of Ridgeway Funeral Home.

Cremation will follow the prayer service.
