Bettye Gayle Hutson Hinson

Bettye Gayle Hutson Hinson, age 77 of Paris, TN, died Saturday, July 13, 2024, at her residence surrounded by family.

She was the former co-owner of Dawndale Trucking in Paris. TN. Alongside her late husband Garry, she began Eastside Enterprises in Paris in 1982, which later became Eastside Auto Repair, until her retirement in 2010. She loved fishing, going to the beach, flower gardening, and spending time with family. She was a member of Sulphur Well Church of Christ.

Bettye was born December 8, 1946, in Paris, TN, to the late Rudy Hutson and the late Mabel Lassiter Hutson.

She was married June 26, 1965, to Garry Howard Hinson, who preceded her in death on April 12, 2023.

She is survived by one daughter, Pam (Doyle) Scarborough of Dover, TN; one son, Kerry (Jacqualine) Hinson of Buchanan, TN; one sister, Sherry (Jamie) Miller of Jackson, TN; two brothers, Bill (Joan) Hutson of Buchanan, TN, and Mike (Pam) Hutson of Cottage Grove, TN; three sisters-in-law, Diann Hutson, Carolyne Bobo, and Deb Hutson; seven grandchildren, Zach (Ashley) Hinson, Shawn (Macy) Ragan, Rachel (Thomas) Murphy, Katie (Aaron) Wilkes, Josie (Frankie) Thompson, Ashlee Bennett, and Kaleb Edelstein; ten great grandchildren, Alissa Deeter, Addison Deeter, Avery Jack Hinson, Lakyn Murphy, Ross Murphy, Raylie-Kate Wilkes, Saylor Ragan, Addy Thompson, Kaylee Thompson, and Mason Smith. 

In addition to her parents and husband, she was also preceded in death by one sister, Carol Fayette; one sister in infancy, Deborah Joan Hutson; and three brothers, Don Hutson, Rex Hutson, and Jimmy Hutson.

Arrangements are being handled by Ridgeway Funeral Home, 201 Dunlap St, Paris, TN. Visitation will be Tuesday, July 16, 2024, from 12:00 pm – 2:00 pm at Ridgeway Funeral Home, with the funeral service beginning at 2:00 pm at Ridgeway Funeral Home with Randy Stephens officiating. 

Serving as pallbearers will be Zach Hinson, Shawn Ragan, Joey Hutson, Tommy Hutson, Chip Hutson, Thomas Murphy, Aaron Wilkes and Jamie Miller.

Cremation will follow the service. The Hinson family would like friends and family to join them immediately following the see at the Sulphur Well Church of Christ, 1760 Oak Grove Road S, Springville, TN 38256 for a time of fellowship together.
