Betty Spears

Betty Lou Spears, age 84, of Paris, Tenn., died Wednesday, October  8, 2014, at Henry County Medical Center in Paris, Tenn.

She was married December 5, 1947 to Walter Scott Spears Jr. he preceded in death December 7, 2003.

Betty was a former clerk at Walmart in Paris for 18 years and a Member of First Christian Church in Paris.

She was born October 18, 1929 in Decatur, IL to the late Everett Leland Becker and the late Viola Catherine Alexander Becker.

She is survived by her  One Daughter,  Cathy (Donald) Brown of Athens, Tenn;  Three Sons,  Brian Spears of Athens, Tenn,  Alan (Dotty) Spears of Sparta, Tenn,  Robert Spears of Milan, Tenn;  Two Brothers, Larry Gene Becker of Decatur, Ill,  Gary Lynn Becker of Decatur, Ill;  Seven Grandchildren;  Eight Great Grandchildren;  Special Neighbor, Lindell Chrisman of Paris, TN;  Special Friends, Dorothy Lloyd, Carol Hammonds, and Mae Futrell of Paris, TN.

Besides her husband and parents, Betty was also preceded in death by a Brother, Leland Max Becker.

Arrangements are being handled by Ridgeway Funeral Home, 201 Dunlap St., Paris, Tenn., where the visitation will be from 11 am – 1 pm Saturday, October 11, 2014.   The Funeral Service will be at LeDon Chapel of Ridgeway Funeral Home at 1:00 PM Saturday, October 11, 2014.

Cory Glover will officiate.   Pallbearers will be Lindell Chrisman, Donald Brown, and Lynn Spears.

Interment will follow in Memorial Cemetery in Paris, Tenn.
