Betty Roberson

Betty Mae Park Roberson age 82 of Paris, went home to her Lord and Savior, Sunday, January 24, 2021, at the Henry County Healthcare Center.

Born May 16, 1938, in Huntingdon, she was the daughter of the late Audrey “Bill” Park and the late Elah Mae Pickler Park.

She spent many years as a bookkeeper before becoming co-owner of Heart of Dixie Glass with her husband. She served her Lord and Savior in many various roles in her community and local churches and was an active member of Fairview Baptist Church. Along with her husband, they enjoyed being members of the Fish Fry Sam’s Camping Club going on various camping and other traveling adventures. Betty also enjoyed sewing, gardening, and spending time with her grandchildren.

She married James Donald “Don” Roberson April 27, 1972. He preceded her in death on February 1, 2020.

Survivors include her three children, Anita (Brent) Andress-Knott of Shelbyville, Alisa (Michael) French of Paris, and Jimmy (Patty) Roberson of Paris; six grandchildren, Damon (Kalynn) Andress, Libbie French, Jay Roberson, Will Roberson, Amy Jones, and Jennifer (Mike) Patterson; eight great grandchildren, and one great great grandchild; two sisters in law, Janet (Rick) Martin and Marilyn (Glenn) Hopkins, both of Paris; and several cousins who were like siblings.

Along with her husband and parents, she was also preceded in death by her grandson Tanner Roberson.

Arrangements are being handled by Ridgeway Funeral Home, 201 Dunlap St., PO Box 788 Paris, TN 38242.  Visitation will be Wednesday, January 27, 2021, from 11:00 am – 2:00 pm at Ridgeway Funeral Home, with the funeral service beginning at 2:00 pm in LeDon Chapel of Ridgeway Funeral Home with Dr. Johnathan Smith officiating.

Family and friends will be serving as pallbearers.

Burial will be in Memorial Cemetery.
