Betty Jo Lemonds, age 79, of Smyrna, Tenn., died Tuesday, August 19, 2014, at St. Thomas Rutherford in Murfreesboro, Tenn. She was married Jan. 1954 to Joel Porter Lemonds who died March 10, 2005. She attended Fellowship Baptist Church in Mt. Juliet, TN. Born on Short Mountain in Woodbury, TN this was a special place to her. She delivered Meals on Wheels in Detroit, MI., supported the Nashville Rescue Mission, loved arts & crafts and enjoyed the company of people.
She was the daughter of the late Ray Hale and the late Mildred Mae Hale.
She is also survived by her Two Daughters, Debbie Lemonds (David) Champlin of Paris, Tenn. Lisa Lemonds of Paris, Tenn. Son, Joe Dale (Alma) Lemonds of Smyrna, Tenn., and a brother , Jimmy Ray (Faye) Hale of Woodbury, Tenn.
Also preceding her death are a son Michael Wayne Lemonds, a brother Donney Hale and a grandson Rudy Allen Luna.
Arrangements are being handled by Ridgeway Funeral Home, 201 Dunlap St. - P.O. Box 788, Paris, Tenn., where the family will receive friends from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM Thursday, August 21, 2014 and after 9:00 AM Friday, August 22, 2014. The funeral service will be at LeDon Chapel of Ridgeway Funeral Home at 11:00 AM Friday, August 22, 2014, with Gary Collier & Bobby Goode officiating.
Interment will be at Walker Cemetery in Paris, Tenn.
