Ben Wainscott

Ben Edward Wainscott, age 72 of Paris, TN, died Sunday, July 15, 2018, at his residence in Paris, TN.

He retired from the United States Postal Service where he worked as a carrier for 30 years.  He formerly pastored several churches and retired as a pastor.  Ben graduated from Hammond Tech High School in Hammond, IN, in 1965.  He was a U.S. Navy veteran, along with being a Lieutenant in the Civil Air Patrol.  He was a Henry County umpire and he loved bowling and hunting.  He was a member of Grace Baptist Church in Paris and a former member of FBC Hammond, IN.

Ben was born June 7, 1946, in Chicago, IL, to the late James Wainscott and the late Raydeane Brown Wainscott.

He is survived by three sons, David Wainscott of Loveland, CO, John Ross Wainscott of Paris, TN, and Jacob Wainscott of Paris, TN; the mother of his sons, Sue Wainscott of Colorado; two brothers, Jerry Wainscott of McKenzie, TN, and Tom Wainscott of Crown Point, IN; and several nieces and nephews.

Along with his parents, he was also preceded in death by two brothers, Jim Wainscott and Richard Wainscott.

Arrangements are being handled by Ridgeway Funeral Home, 201 Dunlap St, Paris, TN, where visitation will be Friday, July 20, 2018, from 11:00 am – 1:00 pm, with the funeral service beginning at 1:00 pm at LeDon Chapel of Ridgeway Funeral Home, with Paul Fancher, Jack Thacker, and Gary Donnely officiating.

Pallbearers will be Britton Wainscott, Reagen Wainscott, Jay Wainscott, Tom Wainscott, Terry Wainscott, and Adam Boyd.

Burial will follow in Tumbling Creek Cemetery in Gleason, TN
