Becky Armour Hordyk

Rebecca Armour "Becky" Hordyk, age 73 of Puryear, TN, passed away Tuesday, September 10, 2024, at her residence.

Becky was born July 3, 1951, to the late James Wyatt and the late Mary White Armour in Memphis, TN. 

She married her beloved husband, Dwight G. Hordyk on August 1, 1969. They were married 55 years.

She retired as a co-owner of two Sears Hometown Stores located in Murray, KY, and Camden, TN. She formerly worked for Pyramid Food Brokers in Memphis, TN. She spent many years volunteering and supporting her daughters in their many activities in school. Becky was a faithful and loving elder’s wife of the Christian church that met in their home for over 40 years. Her faithfulness and example in life will be sorely missed by many.

She leaves and is survived by her husband, Dwight, and two daughters, Tammy and Heidi Hordyk of Puryear, TN. She is also survived by sister, Cynthia (Richard) Rector of Memphis, TN; brother, Tim (Shamela) Armour of Cape Girardeau, MO; sister-in-law Judith Hordyk of France; and sister-in-law Nancy (Lloyd) Winther of Washington. 

Visitation will be Monday, September 16, 2024, from 5:00 pm - 7:00 pm at Ridgeway Funeral Home, and continue Tuesday, September 17, 2024, from 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm at Ridgeway Funeral Home in Paris, TN.

The funeral service will be Tuesday, September 17, 2024, at 1:00 pm at Ridgeway Funeral Home.

Burial will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park in Paris, TN.
