Retired journey wireman Barry Lee Singleton Sr., 53, of Paris died of cancer Wednesday, Oct. 2, 2013, at his residence.
His wife, Debra Lynn Stout Singleton, survives. They were married on May 30, 1997.
His funeral will be at 1 p.m. Friday at Ridgeway Funeral Home, with Gerald Scott officiating. Burial will be in Poplar Grove Cemetery at Springville.
Named as pallbearers are Jeremy Thornton, Charlie Lee, Dustin Cherry, Joshua Singleton, Johnnie Singleton Jr. and Dylan Singleton.
Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. today and after 10 a.m. Friday.
Born April 2, 1960, in Paris, he was a son of Chester Lee Singleton of Paris and the late Elwanda Sue Grainger Singleton.
Singleton retired after 20 years as a journey wireman for International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers local 429 in Nashville. He was a member of First Baptist Church in Big Sandy.
He also leaves four daughters: Tabitha Nichole Singleton and Candice Leagh Singleton Buie, both of Paris, Anita Marie Morgan of Mansfield and April Lynn Woodard of Nashville; three sons: Barry Lee (Kayla) Singleton Jr. of Goose Creek, S.C., Michael James Morgan of Puryear and Christopher Ryan Morgan of Paris; one sister: Cindy (Keith) Cherry of Paris; two brothers: Johnnie Singleton of Puryear and Lonnie Singleton of Paris; and 10 grandchildren.
