Barbara Ann Fry

Barbara Ann Fry, age 59 of Paris, TN, passed away peacefully at her home on Monday, May 18, 2020, from pancreatic cancer, surrounded by family.

Barbara was born May 12, 1961, to Don & Vivian Case in Beloit, WI.  She worked for many years as a realtor in Rockford, IL, and was also a published author.  Barbara was an animal rehabilitator for many different types of animals and loved raising and releasing them.  She was known for her friendliness, kindness, and had the amazing ability to bring family and friends together for all different types of events.  While living in Paris, she worked part-time at Peebles, H&R Block, and Morningside of Paris.

She married Danny Jackson in 1976 and had two children, Nicholas and Danielle.

Barbara married her second and current husband, Ken on August 14, 2011, and in 2016 they relocated to Paris.  Barbara and her golden retriever, Tanner, helped to start the Henry County Therapy Dog Program with the assistance of Judge Vicki Snyder.  She also helped train a therapy dog, Goldie, for Eiffel Gardens Senior Care.  Barbara had a love for all animals.  She also loved Tennessee and the Paris area and met several special friends here in just a short time.

She was preceded in death by her son, Nicholas; first husband, Danny Jackson; father, Don Case; and stepbrother, Jim Thomas.

Barbara is survived by husband, Ken; daughter, Danielle (Bret) Nayman of Panama City, FL; stepsons Bradley (Bethany) Fry of New Boston, IL, Thomas Erin) Fry and David (Ashley) Fry of Loves Park, IL; nine grandchildren; and mother, Vivian; sisters, Ellen Granneman of Paris, TN, Christine (Steve) Bishop of Port Charlotte, FL, Jerri Lynn Dorman of Long Beach, CA, and Heather (George) Busby of Evansville, WI; brother, Doug (Donna) Case of Paris, TN; stepbrother, Greg (Vicki) Thomas of Byhalia, MS; stepsister, Colleen Lengrand; stepmother, Shirley Case; and Grandma Bennett of South Beloit, IL; many nieces and nephews; and an abundance of friends.

Arrangements are being handled by Ridgeway Funeral Home, 201 Dunlap Street, P.O. Box 788, Paris, TN 38242.  Barbara’s memorial service will be planned at a later date this year due to COVID-19.
