Barbara Tyler

Barbara Jean Tyler, age 72 of Mountain Home, AR, formerly of Paris, died Wednesday, September 23, 2020, at her residence.

She retired after many years in healthcare, last serving as the executive director of Beverly Enterprise/Union City Healthcare in Union City, TN.  Barbara formerly worked as a registered nurse for Henry County General Hospital in Paris, and the administrator for both Crestview Nursing Home and Henry County Healthcare.  She was a member of New Bethel Baptist Church.

Barbara was born April 12, 1948, in Paris, TN, to the late Carlton Douglas Snow and the late Mary Elizabeth Smith Snow.

She is survived by her two sons, Anthony David “Andy” (Christa) Tyler of Buchanan, TN, and Martin Walter “Marty” (Jaime) Tyler of Holladay, TN; special friend, Joe Hinrichs of Mountain Home, AR; two sisters, Debra Ann (Kip) Bargery of Dyersburg, TN, and Christine Laverne Hood of Paris, TN; three brothers, Carl David Snow of Arkansas, James Earl Snow of Arkansas, and Gary Lee Snow of Paris; six grandchildren, Britney Tyler, Whitney Tyler, Dakota Parrish, Logan Tyler, Lexi Tyler, and Jayden Tyler; and four great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by one sister, Marian “Jacque” Roberts.

Arrangements are being handled by Ridgeway Funeral Home, 201 Dunlap Street/PO Box 788, Paris, TN 38242.  Visitation will be Saturday, September 26, 2020, from 11:00 am – 12:30 pm at Ridgeway Funeral Home.  A graveside service will be held Saturday, September 26, 2020, at 1:00 pm at Bevil Cemetery in Paris, TN, with Johnny Farmer officiating.

Family members will serve as pallbearers.

Burial will follow the service in Bevil Cemetery.
