Barbara Kay Gafford

Barbara Kay Gafford, age 77 of Mansfield, TN, died Sunday, July 9, 2023, at Jackson Madison County General Hospital in Jackson, TN.

Barbara was a member of Sugar Creek Baptist Church where she formerly played the piano.  She retired from Holley Carburetor plant in Paris and then became a full-time homemaker, taking care of her granddaughter.  She enjoyed watching NASCAR, fishing in the family pond, and listening to audio books.

She was born July 14, 1945, in Paducah, KY, to the late Charlie and Cora Rowland.

Barbara was married on May 17, 1974, to Bobby F. Gafford and he preceded in death on June 2, 2021.

She is survived by one daughter, Christina (Ronnie Dale) Burnette of Mansfield, TN; one son, Will (Lisa Lineberry) Gafford; and one granddaughter, Addison Burnette. 

Arrangements are being handled by Ridgeway Funeral Home, 201 Dunlap St, Paris, TN.  Visitation will be Wednesday, July 12, 2023, from 11 am – 1 pm at Ridgeway Funeral Home.  The funeral service will be Wednesday, July 12, 2023, at 1:00 pm at Ridgeway Funeral Home with Chad Kennedy officiating.  

Pallbearers will be Ricky Holcomb, Richard Holcomb, Jimmy Jackson, Frank Powell, Ronnie Dale Burnette, and Jeremy Clark.  

Burial will follow in Mansfield Baptist Church Cemetery in Mansfield, TN.
