Barbara French

Barbara French, age 69 of Springville, TN, died Wednesday, February 24, 2021, at her residence.

She was a retired beautician.  Barbara enjoyed cooking and spending time with her children and grandchildren. She loved being at home and everyone visiting and spending time together in her home.

Barbara was born July 10, 1951, in Spring City, TN. She was raised by her grandparents, Lewis Alonzo and Mary Ruth “Nanny” McClendon.

She is survived by one daughter, Tracy McWherter (Aaron Willoughby) of Paris; one son, Jimbo (Randi) French of Paris and their father, Jimmy French of Springville; one brother, Dean Simpson of Ohio; four grandchildren, Matt (Ivey) McWherter, Olivia McWherter (fiance’ Jared Hill), Jordan (Cory) Sawyers, and Bryant French; two great-grandchildren, Parker Sawyers, Myla McWherter and one on the way, Emery Jo Sawyers due in April; and special caregivers and friends, Annetta Brewer and Chris Shukis.

Arrangements are being handled by Ridgeway Funeral Home, 201 Dunlap St/PO Box 788, Paris, TN 38242.  Visitation will be Saturday, February 27, 2021, from 10:00 am – 11:00 am at Ridgeway Funeral Home, with the funeral service beginning at 11:00 am at LeDon Chapel of Ridgeway Funeral Home, with Tony Stepp officiating.

Serving as pallbearers will be Robbie Hastings, Ryan Hastings, Ronnie French, Aaron Willoughby, Bryant French and Matt McWherter.

Burial will be at Henry County Tabernacle Cemetery in Springville, TN.
