Austin Walters

Loy Austin Walters, age 31 of Paris, TN, passed away Friday, March 29, 2024 at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville, TN.

Austin worked at Laurel Hill Processing in Puryear, TN.  He enjoyed playing softball, disc golf, fishing, and video games.  He formerly worked for Handyman Construction and Yoder’s Meat Processing.   

He was born August 15, 1992, in Paris, TN.  He is survived by his mother, Tamera Gates Dicus-Green (Chris) of Paducah, KY; two children, Addison and Christopher; two sisters, Kristin Walters of Paducah, KY, and Cheryl (Tim) Forrest of Puryear, TN; five brothers, Tyler Walters of Lavinia, TN, Stephen (Kelly) Dicus of Henry, TN, and Conrad, Luke and Isaac Green of Paducah, KY; grandmother, Faye Michael of Elkmont, AL;  great grandmother, Faye Winsett of Huntingdon, TN; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.

Austin was preceded in death by his father, Tommie L. Dicus.

Arrangements are being handled by Ridgeway Funeral Home, 201 Dunlap Street/PO Box 788, Paris, TN 38242.  Visitation will be Monday, April 1, 2024, from 4 – 7 pm at Ridgeway Funeral Home and continue on Tuesday, April 2, 2024 from 11 am – 1 pm at Ridgeway Funeral Home.  The funeral service will be at 1:00 pm at Ridgeway Funeral Home with Chad Kennedy and family members sharing. 

Pallbearers will be Pete Lindley, Nick White, Cody Miller, Faaldron Cervantes, Jason Smith, Tyler Walters, Aaron T. Forrest, and Will Forrest. 

Burial will follow in West Wood Cemetery in Paris, TN.
