Arthur D. Sensing, Jr.

Arthur D. Sensing, Jr., age 88 of Paris, died Saturday, September 19, 2020, at the Henry County Medical Center.

Arthur was a retired clerk from the United States Postal Service in Paris. He took great pride in being a United States Navy veteran who fought in the Korean War. In his younger years, he enjoyed gardening and fishing. Arthur was a registered organ donor and his family was proud to honor those wishes.

Born September 22, 1931 in Paris, he was the son of the late Arthur Dickson Sensing and the late Mary Diana McGee Sensing.

He was married August 3, 1972, to Mary Alene Glisson Sensing, who preceded him in death on January 3, 2019.

Survivors include one daughter, Jane (Joe Pat) Moody of Buchanan, TN; one son, Ricky (Linda) Nash of Henry, TN; a brother, Danny Sensing of McKenzie, TN; four grandchildren, Kim (Stephen) Watson of Paris, TN, Damon (Katie) Nash of Spring Hill, TN, Chris Turman of Olive Branch, MS, and Mike (Kristin) Turman of Milan, TN; nine great grandchildren; and three nieces, Diana French, Christie Nichols, and Kyla Parker.

Arrangements are being handled by Ridgeway Funeral Home, 201 Dunlap St, Paris, TN 38242.  A graveside service will be held Wednesday, September 23, 2020, at 11 AM at Memorial Cemetery with Chad Kennedy officiating.

Burial with military honors will follow the service in Memorial Cemetery.
