Arlene Drexler

Arlene Lucille Shirk Drexler, age 92 of Paris, TN, died Monday, October 2, 2017, at the RoseStone Retirement Community in Paris, TN.

Arlene was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Paris, TN. She was valedictorian of her graduating class. She was a homemaker, avid bridge player and golfer. Her friends, bridge players, and golfers were all residents with her at RoseStone Retirement Community.

She was born November 30, 1924 in Grundy Center, Iowa, to the late Asa J. Shirk and the late Birdine Allen Shirk.

She was married to Robert Earl Drexler on January 14, 1944, and he preceded her in death in 2010.

She is survived by one daughter, Debra Ann (Harold) Neal of Muscle Shoals, AL; three sons, James Allen Drexler of Paris, TN, Richard Rex Drexler of Memphis, TN, and David Edward (Betty) Drexler of Munford, TN; three grandchildren, David (Rebekah) Neal, Abby Drexler, and Drew Drexler; and two great grandchildren, Libby and Patrick Neal.

Along with her parents and husband, she was also preceded in death by three brothers, Rex Shirk, Max Shirk, and Keith Shirk; and one daughter-in-law, Patricia Drexler.

Arrangements are being handled by Ridgeway Funeral Home, 201 Dunlap St, Paris, TN, where a memorial visitation will be Saturday, October 7, 2017, from 11:00 am – 12:00 pm with memorial service at 12:00 pm Saturday at LeDon Chapel of Ridgeway Funeral Home, with Joe Hansen and Gary Collier officiating.
