Annie Mae Birmingham, age 94 of Paris, TN, died Wednesday, July 1, 2020, at Henry County Healthcare in Paris.
She was the owner and operator of Ann’s Group Home in Paris for 38 years. Annie always kept her journal and loved rose bushes. Annie enjoyed crocheting, watching Joel Osteen on television, and collecting his books. She was proud of her grandchildren and loved being their “Nanny Ham.” She was Christian by faith.
Annie was born June 27, 1926, in Palmersville, TN, to the late Sherman Carrington and the late Mary Lola Turner Carrington.
She is survived by her two daughters, Fern (Robert) Thompson of Paris, TN, and Fran Pollard of Trenton, TN; four grandchildren, Michael Thompson of Paris, TN, Mandy (Andy) Thomas of Paris, TN, Gidget (Lynn) Poynor of Dyer, TN, and Dustin (Kendra) Pollard of Bradford, TN; eight great grandchildren; and two great-great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by one son-in-law, Larry Pollard; and one sister, Irma Dick.
Arrangements are being handled by Ridgeway Funeral Home, 201 Dunlap Street, Paris, TN 38242. A private family service will be held with Gary Collier officiating.
Cremation will follow the service.
