Allene Dillon

Allene Gibbons Dillon, age 88, of Springville, Tenn., died Monday, February 1, 2016, at Montgomery County Nursing Home in Hillsboro, Ill.
She was a member of East Wood Church of Christ and formerly worked at the Salant and Salant Shirt Factory. She enjoyed quilting, sewing and serving other people.
Allene was born June 7, 1927 in Springville, TN to the late Burgess Gibbons and the late Matte Sanford Gibbons. She married Frank Dillon July 8, 1946 and he preceded in death in 1979.
She is survived by her two Sons, Donald Dillon of Greenville, Ill, and Steve Dillon of Springville, Tenn; two Brothers, Clayton (Martha) Gibbons of Maryland Heights, Mo, and Coy (Ann) Gibbons of Florissant, Mo; two Grandchildren, Dawn Dillon (Chris) Froman of Columbia, MO, and Alexander Dillon of Carbondale, IL; three Great Grandchildren, Kyler Froman, Abby Froman, and Caleb Froman.
Besides her Husband and Parents, she was also preceded in death by a Sister, Madeline Gibbons Canter; Brothers, Larry Gibbons, Franklin Gibbons, and Tom Gibbons; and a Grandchild, Andy Dillon.
Arrangements are being handled by Ridgeway Funeral Home, 201 Dunlap St., Paris, Tenn., where visitation will be from 4 – 7 pm Friday, February 5, 2016 and from 10 – 11 am Saturday, February 6, 2016. The Funeral Service will be at LeDon Chapel of Ridgeway Funeral Home at 11:00 AM Saturday, February 6, 2016 with Claytus Wilson officiating.
Interment will be at Poplar Grove Cemetery in Springville, Tenn.
