Alice Futrell

Alice Ann Futrell, age 85, of Paris, TN, died Wednesday September 21, 2016 at Paris Healthcare and Rehab Center.

Alice was a current member of Friendship Baptist Church and longtime member of Jones Chapel Baptist Church.  She was also a longtime active member in the India community.   Alice graduated from Stewart County High School and retired after 37 years at Holley Carburetor Plant.

Alice was born in Model, TN on June 25, 1931 to parents, the late Plomer M. Griffin and the late Amanda Jane Vinson Griffin.

She was married to Herbert L. Futrell on May 25, 1951 who preceded her in death on March 15, 1979.  She is survived by one daughter, Pamela (Brad) Hosford of Paris, TN;  one son, Randy Futrell of Atlanta, GA; three grandchildren, Eric (Jenn) Hosford of Archer, FL, Amanda Morris of Paris, TN, and Jay (Nicole) Hosford of Paris, TN;  six great grandchildren, Madeline (Austin) Page, Brendan Morris, Eavan Hosford, Aidan Harris, Slayden Hosford, and Lily Morris; and beloved sister-in-law, Mattie Lou Griffin.

Besides her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a sister, Ruby Herndon; and brothers, Jim Griffin, Hobert Griffin, and Elroy Griffin.

Arrangements are being handled by Ridgeway Funeral Home, 201 Dunlap St, Paris, TN, where the visitation will be Friday from 4 – 7 pm and Saturday from 10 – 11 am with the Funeral Service at 11:00 am Saturday September 24, 2016 at LeDon Chapel of Ridgeway Funeral Home with Malcolm Norton officiating.

Burial will follow in Memorial Cemetery in Paris, TN.
