Alfris Lester "Al" Williams

Alfris Lester “Al” Williams, age 73 of Madison Heights, VA, formerly of Henry, TN, died Sunday, August 11, 2019, at his niece’s home in Virginia.

Al was a United States Army veteran. He was a retired carpenter. Al enjoyed going to auctions, old cars, and loved to travel. In years past, he enjoyed taking his 1957 Ford Fairlane and his 1985 El Camino to car shows. He was a member of Cartersville Baptist Church in Cartersville, VA.

Born March 3, 1946, in Columbia, Virginia, he was the son the late Clarence Williams the late Vola Ogle Williams.

Survivors include two sisters, Lela (Sam) Conger of Henry, and Arleen (Steve) Hart of Paris; three brothers, Clarence J. (Christine) Williams of Oklahoma City, OK, Bill Williams of Kotzebue, AK, and Harvey (Marie) Williams of Mineral, VA; niece and special caregiver, Dora Campbell of Madison Heights, VA; and many nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, great great nieces and great great nephews, that he loved as if they were his own children.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Faye W. Bryant and a brother, Charles Williams

Arrangements are being handled by Ridgeway Funeral Home 201 Dunlap Street, Paris, TN 38242.  Visitation will be Friday, August 16, 2019, from 4:00 pm – 7:00 pm, and continue Saturday, August 17, 2019, from 11:00 am – 1:00 pm.  The funeral service will be Saturday, August 17, 2019, at 1:00 pm at LeDon Chapel of Ridgeway Funeral Home, with Don Williams officiating.

Burial will be in Memorial Cemetery in Paris, TN.
